Game company Activision makes $650 million in Q1: Thanks to Kung Fu Panda and Guitar Hero

Famous American independent game developer and distributor has announced a $650 million in its first quarter profit. The company’s actual projection was $500 million. This is a great news for the company. However, this profit is not a result of the merger between Activision Blizzard Inc.( NASDAQ:ATVID) and Vivendi Games. Two major games Kung Fu Panda, the game based on DreamWorks Animation’s movie Kung Fu Panda and Guitar Hero.

Kung Fu Panda tells the story of a lazy Panda, Po who is a Kung- Fu fanatic. Po works in his family’s noodles restaurant and then one day he lands to become the disciple of a famous Kung Fu master. At first, the master was not ready to accept him but with his patience and hard work, he wons his heart. Finally, he faces the sworn enemy of his master and becomes the ultimate Kung fu master. Famous Hollywood and Asian movie stars including Jackie Chan, Jack Black, Lucy Liu, Angelina Jolie, Michael Clark Duncan gave their voice in the movie.
