Mortal Kombat: A well made martial art movie.

Title: Mortal Kombat
Director: Paul W. S. Anderson

The movie is inspired from the popular video game Mortal Kombat. Released in 1995, the movie did above average business. Till now, not too many movie adaptations of video games has become successful. Mortal Kombat is one of those exceptional adaptations. The movie has remained true to the original story line of the game.

The story: The story revolves around a tournament named ‘Mortal Kombat.’ The Elder gods of the Outworld Realm created a tournament named Mortal Kombat. If the Outworld fighters have 10 consecutive victories then the Emperor of Outworld will take over the Earth realm. The story begans when the Outworld force won nine tournaments. They need to win one more tournament. Out world thunder god, Raiden gathers a handful of fighters to face the outworld forces.

Background score: Now, what is the first thing you like about the movie? Of course the background score. The catchy rhythm with techno beat is very energizing and along with that the fighting sequences are very well choreographed. It keeps you on your sit till the movie ends.
