People of the Philippines will be able to watch Miss Universe 2008 live on Monday 9:30 AM on ABS-CBN and on 15th July on Studio 23. You will also be able to see Miss Universe 2008 on Hallmark Channel at 9 a.m and on the Velvet channel at prime time, 7:30 p.m..
This year, from the Philippines, Jennifer Barrientos has participated in Miss Universe 2008. Twenty two year old Barrientos is 5 feet 8 inch high and works a model and church ministry youth leader. She used to work as a “welcome ambassador” for the Star World Hotel in Macau.
The winner will be judged based on performance in three categories: swimsuit, evening gown and interview. The show will be broadcast in 170 countries around the world. This year, 80 contestants is competing for the crown in Vietnam. The viewers of ABS-CBN will also be able to see a pre-pageant special at 8:30 AM on July 14th.
