Mark Wahlberg’s latest movie, Max Payne, has pushed to the No.1 spot at US box office this week collecting $18million. It replaced, Walt Disney’s
"Max Payne" drew in heavily male and young audience which matched the video game demographic. Males constituted 65% of the Friday audience, and most of them were under 25. But studio officials said 40% of the male viewers were over 25, higher than they expected, and the 35% female audience also beat expectations.
The Secret Life Of Bees, is in the third position collecting $11.1 million from 1591 theatres. The movie stars Dakota Fanning, Queen Latifah, Jennifer Hudson and Sophie Okonedo. Dakota Fanning plays the character of a girl who runs away from her house and lives with three black women.
Director Oliver Stone’s W, a biographical movie of the current American President, George W. Bush, took the fourth sport collecting $10.55 million.
Compared to the same time in 2007, this year, the box office collection is 12% higher. The top ten movies collected $80.8 million.

they showed every exciting or interesting part of this movie in the previews... the rest, unfortunately, was a snoozefest; didn't make the video game look very good at all
