Julia Ormond, David Strathairn, and Catherine O'Hara will work in HBO's Temple Grandin project
Julia Ormond, David Strathairn, and Catherine O’Hara are going to work on an HBO biographical feature film, TempleGrandin. Temple Grandin is a famous professor at ColoradoStateUniversity. She is the famous designer of humane slaughterhouses.
Actress Claire Danes will play the central character of the movie, TempleGrandin. Julia Ormond is going to play Grandin’s mother. David Strathairn will play the role of Grandin’s University science teacher and Catherine O’Hara will play the role of her aunt. Meritt Johnson and Christopher Monger wrote the screenplay and Mick Jackson is going to direct the movie.
TempleGrandin was born on August 29, 1947. At the age of two, she was diagnosed with brain damage and autistic at the age of three. Though she started talking at the age of four, she excelled in her studies. Later, TempleGrandin graduated from FranklinPierceCollege majoring in Psychology. In 1989, she earned her PhD from the University of Illinois. TempleGrandin is one of the leading speakers on autism. Her first hand experience played a significant of her becoming an advocate for new treatment. She is also considered a leading expert in the field of livestock handling. In 2004, TempleGrandin won a “Proggy” award from People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals.
