Williams agreed to the project, which was expected to begin shooting no later than 15 April (08), on the condition that he received $6 million in "fixed compensation" whether the film was made or not.
He was also set to cash in if the film proved to be a box office hit, with Williams taking a percentage of profits if the movie grossed over a set amount.
A breach-of-contract lawsuit has been filed in the Los Angeles Superior Court. Robin Williams was supposed to be paid even the movie was made but in March Gold Circle Films informed him that the movie had been shelved. Robin Williams’ attorney, Mathew Rosengart, could not be reached for comment over the issue.
