Madonna and Guy Ritchie are going to get divorced on their 8th marriage anniversary

Madonna and Guy Ritchie’s marriage is going to end. The couple is going to divorce in the coming Christmas, on the eve of their 8th marriage anniversary. The news first came out in the famous British tabloid, The Sun, on September 14, 2008. BBC reports:

There has been increasing speculation in recent months that the couple's relationship was on the rocks.

In July, Madonna's publicist denied the pair were planning to divorce, saying their marriage did not "need saving".

Last month, the pair appeared together at the premiere of Ritchie's film RocknRolla.

They walked arm-in-arm and posed for photographs in London's Leicester Square.

In July, Guy Ritchie gave an interview to US Magazine, where he said that his marriage was fine as far as he had been aware of. The next month, on the eve of Madonna’s 50^th Birthday, when Guy Ritchie was asked about their relationship, he denied that his marriage was ending. Madonna is now in New York for her ‘Sticky and Sweet’ tour.

Guy Ritchie and Madonna were introduced in 1999 by Sting and his wife Trudie Styler. They got married on December 22, 2000 after giving birth to their first son, Rocco, they got married in Scotland.
