Nicole Kidman inspired Australian Dinghy team in Beijing Olympic games

Who said words do not have power. They definitely have and if the words are from some one who is very beautiful and attractive like Nicole Kidman, then it would make you a champion. That’s what happened in the ongoing Beijing Olympic sailing competition. In the dinghy competition, Australian sailor duo- Malcolm Page and Nathan Wilmot took the gold medal after they received a phone call from the famous Australian actress.

Malcolm Page told Herald Sun that in the beginning, when they received call from an unknown number they let it go on voicemail. Page said:

"I was getting breakfast and thought, 'Ah, I just don't want to talk to her today,' so I bumped it, then two seconds later there was a message from Nicole wishing us good luck,"

After knowing that it was Nicole Kidman, Page called her before the race. The Australian sailor team took gold on Tuesday’s race in men’s 470 class competition. In women’s 470 class race, Australian sailor Elise Rechichi and Tessa Parkinson took the gold.

Page and Nathan named all their dinghies according to the movie title of Nicole Kidman. They named their boat Australia, Nicole Kidman’s upcoming movie, directed by Buz Luhrmann. Their other boats were named Dead Calm and Days of Thunder.
