Even though distributor Warner Bros. estimated that “The Dark Knight” would fall about 18% on Sunday and other studios said it would fall 20%, the movie slipped only 9%. With this impressive interest from the audience, “The Dark Knight” has many chances to become the summer’s highest-grossing film.
Dan Fellman, chief of domenstic distribution, Warner Brothers said that it was very likely that the movie would surpass Iron Man and IndianaJones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. The former collected $314.4 million and the later $312.6 million. Some analysts are speculating that The Dark Knight would collect $400 million. In the first week of its release, the movie collected $230 million and earned $43.6 million on Sunday. Warner Brothers is expecting that the movie will keep up its winning track for one more week.

In his interview Bale said that he did not consider it as an stunt but it was an enjoyable experience for him. Bale says:

In this movie, people were not interested to see Christian Bale’s performance as Batman but Heath Ledger’s Joker. It was Heath Ledger’s last complete performance and already film critics heavily praised him the way he portrayed the character of Joker. The most prominent feature of movies like Batman and Daredevil is that everything takes place at night. There is no business in daylight. This is what makes these movies more scary. If you are one of those who hates movies that deals with darkness and night and killing and fights, then this movie is not for you. There is too many fighting and blood shade and Heath’s depiction of Joker, the mean minded nemesis of Batman devoid of sympathy was not enjoyed by many. Director Christoper Nolan deserves praise the way he described the whole setting. He has given meticulous attention to the details. He shot some scenes with in the high definition IMAX format. Special effects are used to transform Chicago city into Gotham. This is one movie that is definitely not good for people with heart problems.
